چکیده

In this paper a numerical simulation of the melting process Carreau non-Newtonian phase change material inside two porous vertical concentric cylinders included constant temperatures inner and outer walls, represented by Th Tc, respectively. Half void between pipes is filled with copper media paraffin wax as material. The governing equations are converted into dimensionless form solved using finite element method. enthalpy porosity theory applied to simulate while follow Darcy law. Outcomes shown compared in terms streamline, isotherm, fraction mean Nusselt numbers. solid liquid interface location temperature distribution predicted describe process. effects index, non-dimensional parameters such Stefan number, Rayleigh number analyzed. Our results indicate good agreement study previous investigations. show that an increase increases volume reduces time. Also, time decreases when index decrease.

Numerical Analysis of Melting Process of Compounds Containing Nanoparticles for the Development of Phase Change Process

In this work, the melting process of compounds containing nanoparticles of NePCM in a square hole with different angles affected by two pairs of well-spring heat source on horizontal walls was numerically investigated. Four different configurations of elements were employed to investigate the effect of changes in the position of elements on the horizontal walls of the well-spring landscape on t...

Predictive network modeling of single-phase non-Newtonian flow in porous media.

The majority of complex fluids used in oil-field applications are polymeric solutions exhibiting shear-thinning (pseudoplastic) behavior in solution. We study the flow of power-law fluids in porous media using network modeling. We use realistic representations of porous media that capture the geometry and topology of sands and sandstones as input to our flow model. The bulk rheology (variation ...

Numerical Simulation and Optimization of the Melting Process of Phase Change Material inside Horizontal Annulus

Latent heat storage (LHS) technologies adopting phase change materials (PCMs) are increasingly being used to bridge the spatiotemporal mismatch between energy production and demand, especially in industries like solar power, where strong cyclic fluctuations exist. The shell-and-tube configuration is among the most prevalent ones in LHS and thus draws special attention from researchers. This pap...
